Land of the long, LOUD tantrum...

Erik wasn´t a tantum thrower as a baby or young child. He would regularly (like twice a day) get VERY HAPPY, which then turned into HYPED which had to go through MELT DOWN, before we got to content again, but he never did get very frustrated or through your classic tantrum...

Luey never had two year old tantrums. He had four year old fury feasts, but not the who screaming frustrated preverbal two year old classic tantrum...

So, you can see where this is going, can´t you?

Yes, Bryn is my first to have the classic two year old tantrum. Obviously he´s not two yet, but then again no one else´s baby seems particularly observant of the two year old prerequisite either, so why should Bryn...

This NEW, like this week NEW. Screaming at the top of his lungs, sometimes from an obvious frustration that we can help him with, sometimes because we´re not meeting his need, like YESTERDAY MAN!!! Sometimes, there seems to be no rhyme or reason whatsoever, he just seems to want to be short tempered.

I can relate to that feeling completely, so I find myself having a surprisingly high amount of compassion for him - in fact, if I´m completely honest I have to admit I´m happy it´s not just me (in this house) who is short tempered around here for no obvious reason...

Ah yes, land of the long loud tantrums... I do believe we're your next-door neighbors there! ;-)
